Steve & Molly
I have known Steve all the way back since high school, and he is by far one of my favorite people. In our friend group, we would spend summer nights watching ridiculous and scary movies, pausing halfway through for snacks and runs to McDonald’s. One of our all-time most cherished movies, is ‘Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.” If you haven’t seen it, it’s this wonderfully outrageous movie where a comedian green-screened himself into the frames of an old martial arts movie, and voiced over the stupidest, and longest-quoted jokes among my friend group. Steve, above many, particularly adored this movie and even got his license plate a homage to the weirdest movie ever. Please see the last picture for reference. And while you’re at it, do yourself a favor and go ahead and watch the whole movie.
Steve and Molly’s day started in Racine, WI at the Covenant Murray Mansion. It is a total and complete understatement to say that this property is gorgeous. Which is why I was stoked to come an hour early and get all the dreamy mansion details. Go ahead and have a look.
I mean, look at this fireplace. I didn’t know I needed a marble fireplace until now.
I think my favorite part of this venue, aside from the crown molding, is that the getting ready rooms for the guys and girls are distinctly colored, equally beautiful, and just across the hall.

I mean… did you look at these pictures? With your eyes? w. o. w.

Steve and Molly chose to do a first look on either side of these giant, beautiful sliding doors. We led her up and watched as they saw each other for the first time, happy danced, and looked at each other with tears in their eyes. They’re the cutest.
Remember when I said the mansion was gorgeous? I didn’t know two people could so effortlessly compliment a building so beautiful. Steve and Molly looked like they were made for the place, and together it all made up one of the most beautiful days I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.
The Squad.
The Ceremony
One of the coolest things about this venue, is how they took an old church and turned the chapel into a multi-event space, complete with a church organ turned bar.
As someone who loves balloons, this may be my favorite reception set up ever.
Here’s to hilarious people, beautiful architecture and weddings with clients like Molly & Steve.
