Bellevue Engagement Shoot // Colorado Wedding Photographer // Maggie & Landon
A Day-After Shoot, trying to outrun the sunset.
I first met Maggie in a burrito shop, two years ago. I was literally dumbfounded, because she is, seriously, THE most beautiful person I have ever seen. Positively radiant.
I got the chance to FINALLY photograph her and her hubby this summer and it was insanely fun. And amazing. And beautimous.
During this shoot, we had the chance to explore northern Colorado together. We wandered up into Bellevue, with just about an hour of light left. We walked up this steep grass incline, that led to a full overlook of the foothills. The bouquet was hand-made by myself, and all the fake succulents I put in there kept falling out. We ended up losing them, pretty much after the first five minutes. It was fine. We're fine.
My favorite part of this shoot, by far, was finding this flower filled with teeny tiny purple flowers. And just at the right angle, they created an entire layer of lavender on the grass. At this point, the sun was literally gone. At first, I had a hard time editing these because I was trying to make them warm, and look like they were taken in the daylight. But then I decided to stop fighting the natural light and gave into the blues, and fell in LOVE. Sometimes, you have to stop trying to make a photo look the way you want. Just give into that natural light!
Maggie was rocking a body suit from these INSANELY gorgeous designers in Wisconsin, who put together unique pieces with vintage lace. Her skirt is Alexandra Grecco (I mean looook at it) and it was all from this incredible bridal shop in Denver, called Emma & Grace.
Maggie and Landon laughed and ran around as we lost the sun and I couldn't ask for two more wonderful people to get creative with, even if we were basically in the dark.
Here's to you two cuties.
