Taos, New Mexico Wedding // New Mexico Wedding Photographer // Sarah & Mike!
Sarah & Mike
Sweet sweet Sarah and Mike - I could not name a more easygoing and loving couple. From the minute we walked in, we were there with them, living in ‘Taos time’ and swept up in whimsical celebration. Together on Mike’s family ranch, they got married beneath a thunderstorm, with twirling sunbrellas and wild cacti. They brought their precious kitten to get ready with them and scrambled to get everything just right in the perfect light of their adobe home. We managed to grab some pretty great pictures through all of it, so take a look.
I have always LOVED papel picado. to walk into their home with the ceilings adorned with it, was perfect.
I am thoroughly convinced that New Mexican decor is, by far, the most beautiful.
Details. Details. Details.
As part of their wedding details, Sarah gave me some dried rose petals from her grandfather’s garden.
The Bride.
Sarah said something along the lines of “Is my dress too girly” and of course, I said hell no.
While we placed Mike outside for the first look, overlooking the valley, Sarah gave some goodbye kisses to the real love of her life. Sorry Mike.
The Groom.
The First Look;
We’re all smiles over here.
To Have & To Hold.
Absolute Hooligans.
The Ceremony
If you didn’t think your wedding needed adorable sun-brellas for all your guests, you do.
Their ceremony was perfect, with a thunderstorm looming in the background, just enough to blow their hair gently while also giving some much needed shelter from the sun. He cried, she cried, I cried and everyone watched their two favorite people get married in front of the most breathtaking valley.
The Reception
I don’t often get the chance to pictures of food and charcuterie, but when I do, they look a little something like this.
Here’s to the most precious, delicate and wonderful celebration of love.
