Oxford Road Farm Wedding // Longmont, CO Wedding // Colorado Wedding Photographer // Hailey & Kyle
I first met Hailey a few years ago, when I first moved to Colorado. I started noticing Hailey and Kyle, together, last summer-when they were guests at three of my weddings. It was always one of those moments where you see each other across the room, freeze, and do a little happy dance. The thing about Hailey, is that she has the most contagious and wonderful smile I've ever seen. My first impression of her (and her wonderful sister Mikayla) was that they simply just did not stop smiling. The thing about Kyle, is that this man can DANCE. As I saw at every single one of those weddings. You'll also see, when he flipped her during their first dance.
When they got engaged, I secretly hoped they would reach out and book me (they did yasssss!) because I knew they would be incredible to work with. And they WERE. This whole day was so joyful, stress-free and full of many, many crinkly-eyed smiles.
The girls got ready at this amazing house in Loveland, and I struggled for a whole hour trying to learn the names of all 15 bridesmaids. Meanwhile my second was learning all the names (successfully) of all 13 groomsmen where the guys got ready. Hardest part of the day, by far.
Oxford Road Farm;
Possibly the most enchanting property I've ever been to, this sweet farm has something utterly adorable and charming on every corner.
The First Look:
First looks just get sweeter and sweeter to me. The fear of ruining the 'first look down the isle' moment, while totally real, doesn't compare to the utter joy I've seen a first look bring my couples. And for the couples that want to keep things traditional, I'm all about that too. But for those who aren't decided, here's some little reasons why.
That stress you don't know until your wedding day, doesn't last hours until the ceremony. You get to share a moment, just the two of you, to really see each other. To really take the day in.
I've seen so many couples this year get emotional during the first look, and again, ten-fold, when they walk down the isle- because they can exhale and not focus on their nerves as they walk down the isle, but just really take everything in, together.
This is how beautiful Hailey looked after crying. So I said
"Look at me with them cryin' eyes."
Hailey and Kyle gave me a full 45 minutes to get pictures of just the two of them, and I have to say - It made SUCH a difference. We were able to get those classic shots, and then spend 30 minutes more wandering around the property, relaxed and up for anything. These photos almost always end up being my favorite of the entire season.
A TREE HOUSE!
I mean, how romantic are these two?
"Run! Don't look at me. Look at eachother!"
in case you ever foolishly forget,
I'm never not thinking of you.
The shoes. From Anthropologie. I love them.
I adore my little hipster couples.
The Bridal Party:
Bridesmaids:
Before and After you tell them they're beautiful.
Just kidding. I told them to give me their biggest, fakest laugh. Aren't they so beautiful?!
The bouquet:

My favorite new thing to do: Take the bridal party out at Golden hour, and get some tipsy group pictures.
